Promoting diversity and celebrating Black culture at Bournville School is not limited to October. Underpinning everything we do is the promotion of respect and tolerance. However, we are taking the opportunity of Black History Month and with the theme #SalutingourSisters to highlight black role models and culture. It has been the theme of assemblies and activities in tutor time. Even better subject leaders have included the topic within lessons with artists, music and texts chosen for their link to Black history.
