Our Academy

Our Principal - Miss M Rooney

I am delighted to welcome you to our school website, through which we aim to provide you with all of the information you will require as a parent or carer, or as another member of our community. However, a website can only provide a flavour of Bournville All Through School and I would like to extend an invitation for you to come and see our school first hand.

Bournville is one of a family of schools within the Fairfax Multi Academy Trust (FMAT) and whilst we aim to preserve the distinct ethos and tradition of Bournville, we embrace the Trust’s core values of Excellence, Dedication, Ambition, Integrity and Tradition in our relentless pursuit of excellence for all.
As an all through school we are a community uniquely placed to offer many benefits to our pupils. Primary children will be able to access the sort of specialist teaching rarely available in a traditional primary school. Our primary children will benefit from secondary facilities such as IT, Music and Drama and, when it comes to transition, they will have an established group of friends and be well known to us; their needs met and understood enabling them to move into the secondary phase feeling happy and appropriately supported.
We are an inclusive school community where everyone works together to be the very best they can be.
Our ethos is simple. We expect our pupils to work very hard to fulfil their potential and reach the highest standards through high quality teaching, caring support and by fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect. We aim to keep them safe and happy so that they discover and learn new things, and achieve highly whilst at school. We do all we can to prepare them for the next steps in their education and future quality employment, equipping them to be able to lead a fulfilling and successful life. Our school motto, “Ready, Respectful, Safe.” reflects the strength of our school community.
Our standards are high. We expect all students to be ‘Ready’ meaning that they are in lessons on time every day with both the uniform and focus that shows they are ready to learn. We encourage them to be ‘Respectful’ by treating students and staff with courtesy. And most importantly they should behave in a ‘Safe’ manner by avoiding risking harm to others, themselves and the school site.
At Bournville poor behaviour is never accepted and always challenged. If you take the opportunity to visit us you will see that our pupils meet our high standards and that our staff always “go that extra mile” to ensure that our pupils excel in all that they do.
I hope you have found our website interesting and informative. Please contact the Principal’s PA to arrange a visit. I look forward to welcoming you to our school.
