Y8 Black Country Museum Visit

Y8 students are learning about The Industrial Revolution in History, to bring this to life for them this week we took them to the Black Country Living Museum.

Our guide ‘Wallace’ gave us a real insight into what life would’ve been like for locals in the 19th century.  Students looked into the houses, the shops and got thoroughly frightened in the dark mine!  One student commented it was the best trip he’s ever been on.

Staff were incredibly proud of the students who got involved in discussion, asked sensible questions and even joined in with playing games with the museum staff.  Students will now use what they’ve learned to complete their studies of this topic in their History lessons.

A fantastic day!
