Dear Parents and Carers,
Following the closure of the school on Friday due to heavy snowfall and unsafe conditions, I am writing to update you on the current situation.
Over the weekend, as the weather has improved with weather forecast predictions showing further improvements with increased temperatures and rain, our site team has been working to clear snow and ice from paths, entrances and key areas across the school. This work is continuing to ensure the site is safe and ready for pupils and staff.
We are keeping the situation under close review and, at this stage, we expect the school to be fully opened tomorrow. Our aim is to minimise any further disruption so that no more learning time is lost for our pupils. So I ask you prepare your child for a 8.20 arrival for a 8.30 start to school tomorrow.
Please be assured that the health and safety of our students, staff and visitors is always our top priority. We are monitoring weather conditions, travel and site safety very closely and would only open the school when it is safe to do so.
At this stage we are expecting to open however if there are any changes to this plan, we will contact you as soon as possible via our usual communication channels.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Rooney
Principal
