Bournville School has been awarded the ISM Trust’s Bronze Certificate. This means that more than 10% of all the school’s GCSE students achieved an A* to C in GCSE music.
The ISM Trust GCSE certificates recognise schools’ achievement in music and celebrate their commitment to music education shown by the high uptake and achievement of their pupils.
We are delighted to be recognised as a school for valuing the importance of Music education. The department is currently developing its curriculum to ensure it continues to be engaging and leads to excellent outcomes for pupils. Lessons will be focussed on musical learning intentions and be characterised by practical and social music making. We look forward to seeing the Music department continue to grow in the next academic year.
