Our Year 10 students recently enjoyed an exciting and inspiring taster day at South & City College, where they had the opportunity to experience college life first hand and explore a range of vocational subjects.
Throughout the day, students took part in a variety of engaging lessons led by experienced college staff. The sessions gave them a valuable insight into different courses and career pathways, allowing them to develop new skills while discovering subjects that may interest them in the future.
As well as experiencing college-style learning, students learned more about what life at college is like, including the greater independence, facilities and opportunities available after secondary school. They also had the chance to meet staff, ask questions and gain a better understanding of the options open to them when they reach post-16 education.
The visit encouraged students to think about their future aspirations and inspired them to consider the many exciting opportunities that further education can offer. It was a fantastic day of learning and exploration, helping our students build confidence as they begin to plan their next steps.
