It was a pleasure to welcome our Year 6 pupils during this year’s induction events. The sessions gave everyone the opportunity to meet new teachers, explore the school, and experience what life will be like when they join us.
Throughout the induction activities, pupils took part in a range of engaging lessons, met future classmates, and began building relationships with staff. There was a real sense of excitement and enthusiasm as they discovered new opportunities and became more familiar with their new surroundings.
These induction events play an important role in supporting a smooth transition from primary to secondary school. By becoming familiar with the school environment, routines, and expectations before September, pupils can begin the new academic year feeling more confident, prepared, and settled.
We were delighted by the positive attitude, curiosity, and excellent behaviour shown by all of the Year 6 pupils. They embraced every activity with enthusiasm and represented their primary schools brilliantly.
We look forward to welcoming them back in September and are excited to see them begin the next stage of their educational journey. We hope the induction events have helped ease any worries and have given pupils and their families confidence for the exciting year ahead.
