We are excited to announce that the campaign for our new Head Boy and Head Girl has officially launched today!
Campaign Kick-Off:
Pupils who have chosen to stand for election began their campaigns today by sharing their ideas, values, and visions for our school community. Candidates are now preparing speeches and posters to explain how they would represent the school and support their peers.
Over the coming days, pupils will have the opportunity to listen to the candidates, ask questions, and consider who they feel will best represent their school values.
Learning About Democracy and British Values:
As part of this important process, pupils are also learning about democracy and how it works in real life. They are exploring the idea that everyone has a voice and that voting is a fair way to make decisions.
This links closely to our British values work, including respect, fairness, individual liberty, and the importance of following democratic processes. Pupils are gaining a deeper understanding of how these values help create a positive and inclusive school community.
We are incredibly proud of all the pupils taking part in the campaign. Standing for election takes courage, and all candidates are showing great enthusiasm, responsibility, and respect as they begin this journey.
We look forward to an exciting election process in the days ahead! Election Day is Friday 8th May.
