Y10 Food Students Visit Mondelez to Explore Chocolate Innovation

Year 10 food students recently enjoyed an inspiring educational trip to Mondelez International, gaining a unique behind-the-scenes look at how some of the world’s most beloved chocolate products are made.

During the visit, students observed the full production process, from raw ingredients to finished treats, gaining a real-world perspective on food technology and manufacturing. The highlight of the day was a hands-on session in Mondelez’s Innovation Kitchen, where students had the opportunity to design and create their own chocolate products under the guidance of professional chocolatiers.

Staff were proud to note that student behaviour throughout the visit was exemplary, reflecting their enthusiasm and professionalism in a workplace setting.

The trip provided an invaluable insight into careers in the food industry, encouraging students to combine creativity with scientific knowledge while demonstrating the importance of teamwork and attention to detail.

“This experience really brought our classroom learning to life,” said one student. “It was amazing to see how chocolate is made and then be able to create our own designs in the Innovation Kitchen.”

Mondelez’s visit exemplifies the school’s commitment to providing students with enriching experiences that connect learning with real-world applications.
