A message from our new Head of Primary, Mr McDermott.
I have been given a very warm welcome to Bournville School, and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the pupils, staff, and parents for making me feel so positively embraced.
I bring with me over 12 years of experience from my previous school in Northfield, where I led several key areas, including Physical Education, Pupil Premium, Geography, and UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools. I have also worked as a Lead Practitioner and spent a decade as part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole-school improvement and long-term, sustainable change.
I am deeply committed to working in partnership with pupils to ensure they leave school both academically successful and well prepared for life as confident, well-rounded individuals. I look forward to upholding the high standards and expectations at Bournville School, and I strongly identify with the school’s vision for excellence, which closely reflects my own values and aspirations.
