Miss Mpofu invited her netball students, a group of students that is enthusiastic and growing all of the time to a very different experience on Friday 7th March. They attended a special workshop designed to motivate and inspire them as part of our work for International Women’s Day. The afternoon included:
- A speech from Miss Mpofu about the history of women’s day
- A speech from Miss Rooney about her experience growing up as a girl in Ireland
- A Women’s Day speech from Michelle Obama from her first official visit to the UK
- A speech from the Netball captains about a woman who inspires them the most.
- Amanda Uchengbaham was voted women of the season (most improvement) by the team and she won a brand-new netball from the school.
An excellent afternoon for all involved.
