Today representatives from the BBC came into school to deliver workshops to a range of passionate Drama students selected by Miss Brown.
It was a session that inspired ambition and really opened the minds of the students to careers in the industry. They learnt that careers at the BBC are not all about acting; there are hundreds of roles available from hair and make-up to set design to being a ‘Runner’ (on set assistant) and a ‘Dolly Grip’ ( someone who lays the camera tracks).
Our drama students were enthused by the session and with the offer to become an official partner school of the BBC, there will be plenty more of this type of activity to come!
