Bournville All-Through School has been recognised as one of the most improved secondary schools in England for attendance, earning a prestigious FFT National Attendance Award for the 2025/26 academic year.
The award places Bournville among the top 25% most improved secondary schools nationally and recognises the collective efforts of students, families and staff in making attendance a priority.
Presented by FFT, a respected education data organisation used by thousands of schools across the country, the awards celebrate schools that have made significant progress in improving attendance.
Head of Academy, Ms Dhinsa, said: “We are delighted to receive this recognition. It reflects the commitment of our students, families and staff and the positive culture we have created together. Excellent attendance gives young people the best possible opportunity to achieve, and we are incredibly proud of the progress that has been made.”
The award recognises the work that has taken place across the school to encourage regular attendance, build strong relationships with families and ensure students feel supported to succeed.
The recognition is particularly significant as it marks the first FFT attendance award for Bournville All-Through School and highlights the substantial improvements made during the 2025/26 academic year.
Ms Dhinsa added: “This achievement belongs to our whole school community. We would like to thank our students for their commitment to learning, our families for their ongoing support and our staff for the dedication they show every day.”
While celebrating this success, the school remains focused on building on the progress already made and continuing to work in partnership with families to support strong attendance and positive outcomes for all students.
