Bournville School has launched a new whole-school initiative, The Perfect Page, to raise standards and strengthen the quality of students’ work.
Following a review of exercise books, leaders identified inconsistencies in presentation across subjects. The Perfect Page establishes clear, non-negotiable expectations: date and title, underlined headings, structured paragraphs, highlighted key vocabulary, and clear responses to feedback. A shared model in every classroom ensures consistency.
More than a focus on neatness, the initiative supports stronger thinking, clearer organisation, and greater pride in work. Early signs show improved extended writing and better engagement with feedback.
