Drama students enjoyed the valuable experience of seeing some live theatre at ‘The Rep’ in Birmingham last week. ‘Sherlock Holmes and the 12 Days of Christmas’ is a comedy that our students thoroughly enjoyed. There were some outstanding performers, highly skilled in parody and it was great to see students blown away by the energy, the design and of course the cheeky jokes. This is of course, excellent enrichment to support their Drama studies in school and they have already started to analyse what they saw. It was an absolute pleasure to take students who behaved impeccably.
Honey’s review: ‘Going to see Sherlock at the Birmingham Rep was a nice experience to see in person a play that will help with our GCSE work. The performance was funny and showed a contrast to plays we have studied before . the atmosphere was cool to have been a part of and the overall layout of the play was well run. I would highly recommend going to see Sherlock if you like comedy and music’.
