The Journey
Ensure your child is ready to make the journey to and from school safely.
Walking
If your child is going to be walking to school, practice the route with them and ensure they are aware of how long it will take them both on the way to and from school. Ensure they are aware of a different route home incase their route is blocked and you have discussed road safety with them.
Buses/Train
Teach your child how to read the timetable, how to pay/use their bus pass and how to make the journey. Do the journey with your child in the morning and the afternoon, so they are aware of how long it will take.
There are regularly issues with traffic in the mornings, so plan for your child to take the slightly earlier bus to ensure they are on time. It is important to discuss safety when travelling with your child.
Students should arrive to school by 8.25am and use the Griffins Brook Lane entrance. If they are late, they will need to walk round to the Hay Green Lane entrance.
We serve free breakfast bagels in the restaurant from 8.00am.
