Attendance on the Rise: FMAT Leading the Way!
We’ve got something worth shouting about — student attendance across our Trust is climbing faster than ever, and it’s all thanks to the relentless commitment of our teams!
Over the past two years, we’ve made attendance everyone’s business — and it’s paying off. After all, no matter how great our teaching is, it only works if students are in the room to benefit from it.
The Numbers Speak for Themselves:
- 2023/24: Attendance rose by 1.3%, making us the 7th most improved Trust in the country.
- 2024/25: We saw a further 1.6% increase — double the national rate of improvement.
- This year: For the first time since the pandemic and the start of the ongoing national attendance crisis, every single academy finished the first half-term with attendance above 90%!
To put that in perspective, national attendance currently sits at around 92.8%, and our Trust is improving at a rate 10 times faster than the national rate of improvement.
This is an incredible achievement and we must thank staff who are working hard to make this happen.
