Sixth Form: The Curriculum

Bournville Sixth Form Centre as part of The Oaks Sxith Form College offers a wide range of courses. Students may follow a wide combination of subjects enabling them to tailor their programme to their own individual needs.

Level 3 courses

• Students will normally take four Level 3 courses in Year 12. An AS qualification is then gained in each of the subjects
• In Year 13, students will normally continue with three of their subjects, leading to the A2 qualification
• General Studies will be offered as an additional AS/A2 qualification
• The extended project is also offered to students to fully prepare for university studies

Level 2 Courses

• Students will normally study one level 2 course
• Students will take additional maths and English GCSEs where required
• CRAC level 2 certification in Leadership and Management may be offered
