SAM stands for Self-Assessment Method. This website provides two sorts of activity:
1. drag and drop revision exercisesWhen you log in you may find that your teacher has already set you some activities to do. They will be listed on your page. You just have to click on them to access each activity.
If you don't have any exercises set, click on the button for your lessons.

Chose the subject you want to work on from the list that appears. Be careful with GCSE Science. Some schools teach separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics GCSEs. We don't do this at Bournville so just pick on GCSE Science if that's what you want to work on.
The revision exercises are very easy to understand, just pick up what you think goes in the box and it will tell you if you are right or not. Keep going to the end of the exercise and you will get a percentage score. You can repeat an exercise as often as you like so you can see if you can beat your personal best!

This is where SAMLearning comes into it's own. The exam practice gives you past questions to try. You can enter answers on the screen, print out the page or just write your answers on some paper. You will notice a clock showing how much time you have to complete the questions.

When you've finished answering, click the "MARK MY WORK" button and, hey presto, the mark scheme appears. Give yourself a tick for every mark you get, then click, "GET MY SCORE".

If you're sensible, you'll be honest with this and find out just how good you are. You may surprise yourself. And if you're disappointed, then go back and do it again - get better and beat your personal best!
