Year 7-11 pupils can borrow up to 4 books each, for a month. Sixth formers can borrow up to 6 books each, for a month. Staff can borrow up to 100 books each, for three months. Bulk topic loans, for classroom uses, can be made in staff names. Renewals are possible, so long as items are not required by other people. Flexibility over loans is possible - if a member needs an extra allowance over an agreed period this can be arranged, subject to clear borrower records and availability of materials.
Overdues
Overdue lists are circulated in registers regularly. Staff help in chasing up culprits is much appreciated. Phone calls are made to homes of persistent offenders. If these bring no response payment for lost items is requested by letter. Pupils with overdue items cannot borrow again until they resolve the situation.
Temporary reference
If large numbers of pupils are likely to need the same resources at the same time staff can have these placed on Temporary Reference for an agreed period.
