Library: Induction

All year seven pupils have a Library induction lesson during induction Week, in September. This is designed to give them a general idea of Library layout and facilities, and to enable them to borrow and return books. Further information skills work is done as part of the Key Skills Programme and in real research situations through subject department projects.

New pupils to the school are all given a Library induction information sheet and offered familiarisation sessions. Year group information sheets are issued to all form groups to update them on developments. Significant new developments will be publicised in the school newsletter, on the School Website, and/or in messages to form groups. Skills revision/research methodology sessions can be booked as needs arise for any/all groups.
