Library: Materials and Equipment

An ongoing requests file is kept in the Library . Students and Staff, please submit requests, in writing, giving full details for each item if possible. Material selection policies / guidelines are available in the Library. If you do not know of titles, but notice a topic / level gap, please inform MAM and that gap will be filled ASAP.

• Multi-media packs
• Video collection
• Autolib housekeeping system (on independent network)
• 2 OPAC/catalogue computers for general use
• 6 curriculum network computers and 2 network printers
• 5 laptop computers (for 6th form use)
• CCTV
• Comb binding machine
• Laminator
• Photocopier (coin operated for pupil use)
• 2 group listening tape recorders
• Group listening tape/CD player
• Group listening radio/cassette recorder
• Portable television, with Teletext
• Portable video playback machine

All portable audio equipment can be borrowed for classroom use. (Booking in advance is advisable). Full catalogue lists are available in the Library. Subject and topic specific lists can be produced as needs arise. Departments wishing to laminate and/or bind work should provide their own pouches and combs.
