School Uniform
Have pride in your appearance
Bournville School has a uniform policy and expects parents to support the school by
providing their children with the clothing listed below and ensuring they are dressed
correctly for school.

- Black Shoes or boots which must be of a polishable material (trainers are not permissible). Boots
must be a maximum of 1 inch above the ankle and should not have folded over fur tops.
- Black or grey socks or plain tights.
- Plain light blue, grey or white shirt, (with top button) tucked into trousers or skirt.
- Girls - Black knee length skirt (skirts must not be made of stretchy material) or black uniform
trousers (not jeans or fashion trouser)
- Boys - Plain dark grey or black trousers (not jeans)
- Tie of school pattern correctly tied with knot visible within the 'v' of the jumper.
- Bournville School navy long sleeved 'v' necked pullover with school badge.
- Plain weatherproof coat without logos. Hooded tops or tracksuit tops are not to be worn.
Optional
- Bournville School hats (either baseball cap or woolly hat). No other hats are to be worn.
PE Kit - Compulsory for all students
- Sky blue aertex polo-shirt (with PE logo)
- Navy blue rugby jersey with reversible sky blue band (with PE logo)
- Navy blue knee length socks, with twin sky hoops at the top
- Correct training shoes (not fashionable footwear)
- Navy Tracksuit bottoms (girls)
- Plain Navy shorts (not shadow stripes), football boots (boys)
Optional
- Navy sweatshirt with a crew neck (with PE logo)
- Navy training top (with PE logo)
- Plain navy shorts (girls)
Please note:
Jewellery- one plain stud in each ear no bigger than 5mm is allowed plus a watch, no other jewellery or
body piercing is allowed.
Items worn for religious reasons must be in black or school colours and must not contravene health and
safety policy.
Make up is not allowed in Years 7 and 8 and must be discreet and natural looking in Years 9, 10 and 11.
Nail varnish, and acrylic nails, is not allowed.
Hair colouring (that is not a natural hair colour) and shaved patterns are not allowed. Hair accessories
must be sensible and in school colours.
Accessories such as fashion belts, sweatbands, key chains and scarves are not allowed around school.
It is important to label all students' property using a method that is permanent.
