Business & enterprise colleges will use their specialist status to raise standards of achievement and the quality of learning for all their students. Business & enterprise related subjects will contribute to whole school improvement by developing innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Business & enterprise colleges will enrich and extend learning by encouraging economic and business understanding, enterprise activities and opportunities for pupils to follow a wide range of work related learning pathways.

Specialist Music College

Music Colleges will encourage their students to develop a lifelong passion for, and appreciation of, music - not only as composers and performers but also as audiences, technicians and critics. Music Colleges will promote enjoyment of many different musical forms and encourage all students to participate in a wide variety of music-making. Music Colleges are lead practitioners in the use of ICT as a means of enhancing learning in music and other subjects.

Leading Edge Partnership Programme
(Gifted and Talented)

As part of Bournville School's High Performing Specialist Status (only a certain proportion of schools in the country are awarded this accolade) we have a responsibility to share our expertise with other schools. We participate in the Leading Edge Partnership Programme (LEPP).

Our main partnership is with Shenley Court School supporting their improvement. However, we now have a special brief to help not only Shenley Court but also the city to develop work with Gifted and Talented students.
