Preparing for Ski Trip

On two Mondays in November Miss McLean organised skiing trips to the Snowdome. These trips were for students who couldn't ski to have an hour lesson, and for the students that could ski to have a recreational ski for an hour. This opportunity gives students the chance to start progressing before the big trip to Austria, which is in Easter 2012.

British Gas ASA National Age Group Synchronised Swimming Championships

On the weekend of 3rd and 4th December 2011 some of my friends and I from our synchronized swimming club went to Gloucester for the ASA National Age Group Synchronized Swimming Championships. It was a very important competition because it was the nationals, where clubs come together from all around the country.

On Saturday, the club teams did their routines. Then later we watched the Great Britain team do the routine they might be doing at the 2012 Olympic Games. We got our photos taken with them, and their autographs.

On Sunday, it was my (12s and Under) teams big day! We were very nervous but, we came third out of eight teams and won a bronze medal. We were really pleased with ourselves, especially as it was our first national competition.

The Age 13 – 14 Team from our club came first in their competition, as did our 19 and Unders team. We were all so proud and happy, and so were our coaches!

I've really enjoyed today meeting all the different gymnasts and seeing some future world champions

It was enjoyable to see children our age competing in the championship.

Watching the tumbling was great, they are really good.

I enjoyed the tumbling as I hadn't seen it before.

Everyone who took part in the tumbling must have worked very hard as it was very good.

Amazing, haven't seen anything like it before.
